Kandace Chimbiri is the founder of Golden Destiny, the new publishing company specialising in books for Black children. The 1st title, Step Back in Time to ancient Kush, is being pre-launched at the You're Beautiful, Woman event on the 15th of August.
Kandace is an historian and has spoken at museums on her passion, the classical African civilisation of Kush. She has also appeared in the award-winning documentary Nubian Spirit about this little known Black civilisation which is mentioned in the Bible and in the ancient writings of numerous other peoples like the Assyrians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans.
On the 15th of August Kandace will be speaking on Classical Black Beauty: Beauty, style & fashion in ancient Kushite times.
